The SDO Gateway Add-on implements a SDO gateway function, which makes possible the SDO transfer between two or more CANopen networks. To use this feature, the gateway device must feature at least two CANopen instances.

The CANopen Stack Master & Slave source code contains the complete functionality according to the CiA specification 301. The CANopen source code enables a fast and standard-compliant implementation of own, fully equipped CANopen master or slave devices including NMT Master (Network Manager), LSS Master (Layer Settings Service) or SDO Clients.

A high level of performance is achieved through direct, event-oriented signaling down to the application level. The CANopen Stack Master & Slave source code is prepared for simple integration into various operating systems thanks to the corresponding functionalities. This makes porting much easier.

The comprehensive and well-structured API allows easy use of the CANopen services: You do not need to worry about the details in the implementation. The sample programs included in the package, the target-oriented demo projects and the comprehensive documentation will guide you step by step.

CAN driver porting, the implementation of specific demo projects or the adaptation of the CANopen software to processors that are not directly supported can be carried out within a few days. Please contact SYS TEC for further information regarding the available options and services.

Le applicazioni CANopen per azionamenti e motion control conformi alla specifica CiA 402 consentono il controllo di prodotti digitali per l’azionamento, come servoazionamenti, convertitori di frequenza e servomotori.

L’Add-on CANopen CiA 402 per il CANopen Stack include le routine software necessarie per implementare applicazioni CANopen per azionamenti e motion control secondo CiA 402. È utilizzato, tra gli altri, per prodotti di controllo digitale quali servo controller, frequency converter e servo motori.

Un set completo di funzioni API permette di gestire lo stato del dispositivo e il modo operativo. L’implementazione può gestire fino a 8 assi e supporta:

• Homing Mode — ricerca della posizione di riferimento

• Profile Position Mode — posizionamento

• Profile Velocity Mode — controllo della velocità

• Velocity Mode — regolazione della velocità

• Profile Torque Mode — controllo della coppia

The Dynamic OD Add-on implements a Dynamic Object Dictionary as specified in CiA 302 and provides functionality to replace, extend or modify parts of an existing object dictionary at runtime (e.g. PDOs, process data). It uses a special kind of compressed binary DCF, called "Concise configuration storage".

Based on the successful USB CAN Interface designs, the USB-CANmodul16 version bundles 16 CAN-channels in one device, connected to the PC via two high-speed USB2.0 interfaces with up to 480Mbps. This USB CAN Interface allows a most comfortable, yet cost efficient way to transfer CAN-bus messages in distributed systems that require a centralized data collection, like used in automotive applications, research institutes or laboratories.

The extension module Flying Master renders a CANopen Manager according to CiA-Standard 302 Part 2 with the possibility to determine the NMT mode as Master or Slave dynamically to the run time. 

Inspection & advanced configuration of CANopen devices

CANopen DeviceExplorer is a versatile tool for development, testing, diagnostics and service tasks. The integrated CANopen master functionality allows the inspection and configuration of CANopen devices through direct access to the Object Dictionary (OD) . The necessary information about the respective device is read from the electronic data sheet of the device (EDS or XDD format) or queried directly from the device via online access. Modified device configurations can be saved and loaded using the standardized DCF files (Device Configuration Files). It is also possible to manage entire CANopen networks in project files.
